* Sichuan Trade delegation to arrive in Sri Lanka today

Mar 19, Colombo: A 12 member Chinese delegation from Sichuan Province will arrive in Sri Lanka on Sunday for a three day visit to promote trade between the two countries.

The Director of the Sichuan Economic and Trade Department of China, Council to Promote International Trade to Sichuan & Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce Zhou Yichun will lead the delegation.

The delegation will hold one to one meetings with Sri Lankan businesses and a B2B session at the Colombo Hilton on Monday 20 March, mainly focusing on the power sector, construction material, and hardware among other sectors.

Chengdu is one of China's fastest growing cities which is home to 50 Fortune 500 companies. Chengdu's largest city in Sichuan, with one of largest number of tourists who visited Sri Lanka last year due direct flights to Colombo.

Every two years Chengdu holds a Western Trade fair which is becoming very popular with foreigners.
