* Admired University of Colombo Professor Valentine Joseph passes away

Mar 17, Colombo: Exceptional educator and a top scholar, former Professor of Mathematics at University of Colombo Prof. Valentine Joseph passed away on Wednesday, March 15 in Colombo.

Recognized as a top scholar, especially in the area of Relativity, Prof. Joseph was admired as a warm-hearted exceptional human, inspiring teacher and a mentor who opened the minds of hundreds of students studied under him to see the universe in a novel and beautiful way.

The University of Colombo viewing is at NAT on Friday March 17th 2017, from 9:30 - 11:30am.

The Funeral rites will take place on Saturday March 18th 2017 at 3 PM, Borella cemetery.

Colombo University Faculty of Science Alumni Association of North America (CUFSAA) plans to prepare a special tribute edition of CUFSAA Newsletter for Professor Joseph and students who had the privilege of learning from him are requested to send their stories and fond memories about him.
