* Sri Lanka's second investment summit to kick off in Hong Kong tomorrow

Mar 15, Colombo: The second Sri Lanka investment summit in Asia, first ever in Hong Kong is set to kick off tomorrow, March 16 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Kowloon with the participation of over 200 investors.

FinanceAsia, the presenter of the summit said the inaugural Sri Lanka Investment Summit held in Singapore last year was an unprecedented success.

Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake will open the summit, and speak on 'Macroeconomic Policy Targets, Fiscal Consolidation Plan and Recent Track Record' providing delegates with an insight into the ambitions and economic policies of the current government going into their third year of office.

Assistant Governor of Sri Lanka Central Bank K D Ranasinghe, Director General Board of Investment Duminda Ariyasinghe, and IMF Resident Representative to Sri Lanka and the Maldives Eteri Kvintradze are among the distinguished panel of speakers at the summit.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka, leading international banks, local capital market specialists and some of the largest ever international investors into Sri Lanka will help attendees navigate the opportunities and pitfalls that investing in Sri Lanka offers, not only to the Institutional Investors, but also to Private Investors, Family Funds, Corporations looking for FDI opportunities, Equity and Debt investors and Private Banks, according to the organizers.

Standard Chartered is the lead sponsor of the Sri Lanka Investment Summit. The Summit has already attracted some 200 registrations.
