* President to discuss national carrier's losses

June 14, Colombo: Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has said that the losses incurred by the national carrier SriLankan Airlines will be discussed at the next cabinet meeting as the airline's losses continue to mount.

Addressing the cabinet media reefing today, co-spokseman Minister Rajith Senaratne said SriLankan Airlines continues to make losses and the Ministers at the cabinet meeting yesterday have decided to summon the board members of the airline to check on the current status of the national carrier.

It has been reported that the cumulative losses of the carrier have risen to Rs. 22 billion.
