* Ceylon Chamber organizes business promotion/fact finding mission to Saudi Arabia

July 16, Colombo: Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will be organizing a business promotion/fact finding mission in association with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Saudi Arabia, Saudi Fund for Development and the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce from 19-22 August, 2017.

The Main objective of the mission is to facilitate establishment of business contacts with potential business partners and explore emerging opportunities for joint ventures between Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia, the Chamber said.

In addition, the mission aims to create a dialogue with Saudi Fund for Development and its registered members to import products from Saudi Arabia using the facilities offered by the SFD.

Potential products to promote during the mission as exports from Sri Lanka include Apparel, Fruits & Nuts, Live Plants, Foliage, Marine Products, Rubber Products, Spices, Tea, and Vegetables while imports into Sri Lanka include Agriculture Equipment (Irrigation Systems! Pumps), Building Materials, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Machinery, Trucks and auto parts, Packaging Material, Paper and Paper board, Plastic products, Power Towers/Generators, Steel and PVC Pipes.

The services sector include Engineering, Construction, Manpower, and Tourism.
