* Second phase of the national dengue mosquito eradication program tomorrow

July 14, Colombo: The second phase of the national mosquito eradication program under the theme "Let's start ourselves - Join to eradicate dengue" will commence from the Western Province tomorrow.

The program will be implemented in several Medical Officers of Health Officers Division in the Western Province with the assistance of community organizations.

Accordingly, it has been planned to telecast the program from Medical Health Officers Divisions centering Maharagama, Kolonnawa, Ratmalana, Nugegoda and Kalutara live on all electronic media channels in the country from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm.

The National Dengue Prevention Program is being organized jointly by the Presidential Task Force, the Ministry of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, the Police, the Tri-forces, the Ministry of Mass Media and the Department of Government Information.

The National Dengue Prevention Program has commenced on the 12th of this month with the intention of eradicating the dengue menace. It is being operated under three stages.
