* Kuwait provides financial assistance to Sri Lanka for several projects

July 14, Colombo: The Government of Kuwait has decided to extend financial assistance to Sri Lanka for several projects promoting the ties between the two countries.

Accordingly, the Government of Kuwait will provide assistance to several projects in Sri Lanka including a mushroom cultivation project, the Government Information Department said.

Sri Lanka will be granted USD 34,589 through World Vision Organization to promote the mushroom cultivation and to provide school bags and stationeries for children in the North.

In addition, USD 372,000 will be provided to set up a four-storied building for East Ceylon Arabic College in Addalaichenai in the Eastern Province.
