Jan 06, Colombo: A Sri Lankan court today issued a restraining order against protesting in the vicinity of the Hambantota Port tomorrow.
The Hambantota Magistrate's Court on a request by the police has issued a restraining order against 27 parties banning protests, demonstrations and meetings for the next 14 days in the area near the southern port.
The Police informed the Hambantota Magistrate's Court that protests and unruly behavior which will disrupt the peace surrounding the Hambantota port and its operations have been organized.
