Apr 03, Colombo: The only son of Sri Lanka's first executive President J.R. Jayewardene's son Ravindra Vimal Jayewardene has passed away today at his residence. He was eighty-years-old.

After serving as a Pilot in Air Ceylon, Ravi Jayewardene served as the Presidential Security Adviser during his father's regime.

A notable marksmen, the younger Jayewardene founded the elite Special Task Force of police.
