Sept 04, Jaffna: Sri Lanka Navy Wednesday brought home 23 Sri Lankan fishermen released from the Indian custody.
The Indian Coast Guard ship "Vishwast" transferred the 23 Sri Lankan fishermen along with their four fishing boats to the Sri Lankan naval personnel at the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) North of Kankasanthurai on 03rd September.
The Indian Coast Guard ship Vishwast carrying the Sri Lankan fishermen and towing the four boats has left the coast of Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh on August 29 and sailed about 840 kilometers to reach the IMBL.
Sri Lanka Naval Ship L 820 and Sri Lanka Coast Guard Ship CG 48 have brought the fishermen to the shore along with their fishing boats.
