* Korean language proficiency test for Sri Lankan applicants in October

July 31, Colombo: Sri Lanka Ministry of Foreign Employment Promotion announced that the Korean language proficiency test for the Sri Lankans applying for jobs in Korea will be held on October 11 and 12.

The Test of Proficiency in Korean will be held under the monitoring of the Korean government. The candidates who pass the proficiency test are eligible to be selected for jobs in Korea.

Passing the Korean Language Proficiency Test is the basic qualification for recruitment of Sri Lankan youth seeking jobs in Korea. The jobs are offered via Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau under the Ministry of Foreign Employment Promotion.

The employment in Korea is popular among Sri Lankans due to better returns.

The Ministry said that the applications for the test would be issued at 14 centers Island wide from August 11 up to August 14.

The candidates that pass the Korean language proficiency test of 2014 will be recruited for jobs in construction and fisheries sectors, the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment announced.
