* Sri Lanka Election Commissioner to meet party secretaries tomorrow on Uva PC elections

July 29, Colombo: The Election Commissioner of Sri Lanka Mahinda Deshapriya has summoned all the secretaries of the political parties expected to contest for the Uva Provincial Council election.

The meeting will be held at the Election Secretariat in Colombo tomorrow at 10 a.m.

The Election Commissioner is expected to enlighten the party secretaries about measures taken by the Election Department to guarantee a free and fair election, a spokesman of the Election Secretariat said.

The representatives of the election monitoring organizations will also participate in the meeting.
