* Opposition Leader of Sri Lanka promises to create a better future for students taking GCE A/L exam

July 28, Colombo: Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Leader of Sri Lanka's opposition and United National Party (UNP) today met with the students in a popular tuition class.

Wickremasinghe, addressing the students at their farewell gathering at the famous Advanced Level Sinhala teacher Upul Shantha Sannasgala's tuition class, promised that his party would create a better future for them.

Engaging in a conversation with the students the Opposition Leader asked the students to be confident and appealed to them to get through the first hurdle for a bright future by passing the Advanced Level examination.

He signaled that Upul Shantha Sannasagala also would join him in near future.
