* Sri Lanka Navy brings home 41 fishermen released from India

July 26, Kankasanthurai: Sri Lanka Navy Thursday brought home 41 Sri Lankan fishermen released from the custody of Indian officials.

Indian Coast Guard Ship " Sarang " has handed over the released fishermen along with their eight fishing trawlers to the Sri Lanka Navy at the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) in the seas off Kankasanthurai on July 24.

Sri Lanka Naval Ship 'Ranarisi' attached to the Northern Naval Command with the assistance of Coast Guard Vessel CG 42 has brought the fishermen along with their fishing trawlers to the shore.

The fishermen released are residents of Trincomalee and Dondra, the Navy said.
