Tue, Jul 22, 2014, 09:56 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

July 22, Colombo: Sri Lanka university students' union, Inter University Students' Federation (IUSF) will hold a protest march tomorrow from Colombo Fort to the Ministry of Higher Education.

A spokesman of the IUSF said that the march is organized by the Students' Union of the Rajarata University.

The students demand the authorities to revoke the decision of the university authorities to suspend the studentship of 28 students.

University sources said that the studentship of 15 of these students has already been reinstated.

The students recently took the Vice Chancellor hostage to win this demand but the authorities refuse to be lenient to the students after the hostage drama.
