* Nomination board of Sri Lanka Freedom Party to meet on 28th to select candidates for Uva PC

July 21, Colombo: The nomination of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), the main constituent party of ruling United Peoples' Freedom Alliance (UPFA), will on the 28th of this month to select suitable candidates for the upcoming Uva Provincial Council election.

The General Secretary of SLFP Minister Susil Premajayantha said the nomination board of the SLFP will meet to decide the nominations and the other coalition parties of the UPFA have also submitted their proposals.

The Minister says the ruling party is certain to win the Uva PC as the government has rendered a significant service to the public in the province.

The nominations to the Uva PC election will be accepted from the 30th of this month to the 5th of August.
