July 21, Colombo: Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has conveyed condolences to the Dutch and Malaysian families on the loss of loved ones on Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17.

The President issuing messages via twitter to the Prime Ministers of Netherlands and Malaysia has said that the prayers of the Sri Lankan people are with them during this difficult time.

"Please let the Netherlands people know that the prayers of the Sri Lankan people are with them during this difficult time," the President said in a twitter message to the Prime Minister of the Netherlands.

"Please convey my condolences to the people of Malaysia on the loss of loved ones on Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17," he tweeted to Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak.

"I also want to send out my condolences & that of the Sri Lankan people to all other families suffering from the loss of a loved one on MH17," the President said.
