* Sri Lankan Minister to speak on reconciliation in Houston

Aug 29, Houston, TX: Sri Lanka's Minster of National Languages and Social Integration Vasudeva Nanayakkara will deliver a speech in Houston, Texas on the reconciliation process in the country.

Minister Nanayakkara, at the invitation of the Asia Society of Houston, will deliver a speech on 'Road Map to Healing and Reconciliation in Sri-Lanka', at the Asia Society's auditorium in Houston at 7:00 pm on October 8, 2014.

The Ministry of National Languages and Social Integration under Minister Nanayakkara has a pivotal role to play in post conflict reconciliation and is committed to achieve the government's goal to secure the language rights of all communities and to transform the country into a trilingual society by 2020.

Dr. Bandula Wijay, the Honorary Consul General for Sri-Lanka in the State of Texas, is hosting the Minister during his visit. The speech will be followed by a Q&A session from the audience, moderated by George R. Willy, a prominent immigration attorney and a Sri-Lankan Tamil American living in Houston.

The event will be open free to the public.
