* Pakistan Air Force chief arrives in Sri Lanka

Aug 28, Colombo: The Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt arrived in Sri Lanka today on a mission to boost bilateral ties.

The Pakistani Air Chief was accompanied by his spouse and a delegation of two senior officers.

He was welcomed at the Bandaranaike International Airport by his Sri Lankan counterpart, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke.

During his three day visit Air Chief Marshal Butt will call on President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Secretary to the Ministry of Defense and Urban Development Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

The Pakistani air Chief and his delegation will also visit the Office of the Chief of Defense Staff, Sri Lanka Army and Navy Headquarters, Air Force Academy China Bay, Trincomalee and SLAF Base Katunayake. He will meet with the Chief of Defence Staff and the Commanders of the Armed Forces during the visit.
