* LTTE suspects arrested in Malaysia under Sri Lankan custody

May 27, Colombo: The three Sri Lankan refugees arrested by the Malaysian police for their involvement in LTTE activities have been brought to the country and are now in the custody of Sri Lankan authorities, the Police Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said.

The three suspects have been placed under the custody of the Terrorist Investigations Division and they are being questioned now, the SSP Rohana said.

According to the police spokesman said Interpol Red Notices have been issued for two out of the three LTTE members. The international police have issued Red Notices for 35 LTTE members so far.

He said there was evidence of attempts to revive LTTE in Sri Lanka and resume operations and further Investigations are underway on the LTTE Diaspora and their activities in the island.

The Police Spokesman requested the Tamil community in the country not to be misled by LTTE propaganda and support such adverse moves.
