* Female undergraduate in Sri Lanka found murdered at a bus stop

May 24, Elpitiya: The body of a female university student with stab wounds was found in a building near the Elpitiya bus stand this morning, police said.

The victim has been identified as a 22-year-old student of the Aesthetic University of Colombo resided in Niyagama, Thalgasvila.

She was found stabbed to death with a sharp object in the empty building after she left home early in the morning today to go to the university to attend classes.

Local media reported that an army soldier believed to have a relationship with the second-year undergraduate has been arrested by the police in connection with the incident.
