* Sri Lankan President to meet with SLFP parliamentarians today

May 19, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa has called on all the parliamentarians of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) for a special meeting on Monday (May 19).

The meeting will take place at the Presidential Secretariat, a source said.

According to local media, the meeting is aimed at discussing several issues including the upcoming elections.

Reportedly, the President may take the final decision regarding dissolving the Uva Provincial Council and holding the election after this discussion.

The President is scheduled to meet with the Cabinet of Ministers following the meeting with the MPs.
