* Sri Lankan Government to revise the list of IDPs in the country

May 06, Colombo: The government of Sri Lanka will revise the list of remaining internally displaced people (IDPs) in the country.

The Resettlement Ministry has said the list will be revised by adding another 400 long term IDP families.

The number of IDPs currently stands at 7,094 families according to the Ministry.

Resettlement Ministry Secretary Janaka Sugathadasa has said the Ministry statistics show there are 7,094 families comprising 23,568 persons yet to be resettled.

These IDPs are currently residing in 32 welfare centers in the Jaffna District and at three in the Muttur Divisional Secretariat area in Trincomalee.
