* 2013 Green Building Awards in Sri Lanka today

May 04, Colombo: Green Building Awards 2013 organized by the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka will be held at the BMICH today, May 4 at 4 p.m., the organizers announced.

The awards ceremony will be held under the patronage of Minister of Environment and Renewable Energy Susil Premajayantha and Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa.

The event is organized to appreciate the environment-friendly construction activities. The awards will be given under four categories.

Green Building Awards 2013 is the first such awards ceremony in Sri Lanka.

The Green Building Council of Sri Lanka (GBCSL) is a consensus-based, not for profit organization with diverse and integrated representation from all sectors of the property industry and academia.
