* Sri Lanka Cricket may decide on player contracts tomorrow
Wed, Mar 12, 2014, 11:37 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Mar 12, Colombo: Sri Lanka Cricket announced today that office bearers of the board met with the National Team players today and had a discussion with regard to the player contract payments.

At the meeting the players have expressed their concerns over the new annual contracts and the board's refusal to share its income from ICC events with them.

The office bearers have stated their point of view on the subject matter and there was an exchange of views between both parties, the SLC said in a release.

The players have not yet signed the 2014 contracts, as the dispute continues over the players' demand for a 20% share of the ICC events fee.

The national players have raised the issue last year also, but came to a settlement with the mediation of chief selector Sanath Jayasuriya to sign the contracts without meeting the demand. However, this year players are steadfast on their demand.

The SLC said office bearers will communicate the views exchanged at the meeting to the members of the Executive Committee tomorrow for a final decision.
