* Sri Lanka beats Pakistan to win Asia Cup 2014

Mar 08, Mirpur: Sri Lanka defeated the reigning champions Pakistan by five wickets to claim the 2014 Asia Cup in Mirpur, Bangladesh today.

After winning the toss and losing all five of their wickets to Lasith Malinga Pakistan set a target of 261 for Sri Lanka.

Lahiru Thirimanne scored 101 out of 108 balls and Mahela Jayawardena contributed 75 runs to propel Sri Lanka to claim the title. Sri Lanka was unbeaten through the series.

Lasith Malinga is the Man of the Match.
