* Election Commissioner to meet the secretaries and senior officials of Sri Lanka political parties tomorrow

Mar 03, Colombo: Sri Lanka's Election Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya has scheduled a special discussion with the secretaries and senior officials of political parties that contest the Western and Southern Provincial Councils.

The discussion will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Election Secretariat.

The Election Commissioner aims to focus on the complaints he has received so far regarding the elections.

He also expects to discuss about the process of counting votes and the problems related to the counting of preferential votes with the party secretaries.

After this discussion, the Election Commissioner has scheduled to meet the District Retaining Officers of the six districts where the elections are held. Deputy and Assistant Election Commissioners are also to participate in the discussion which will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Election Secretariat.
