* Sri Lanka President summons all SLFP people's representatives for a special meeting

June 29, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is expected to return from Seychelles today has summoned all ministers, MPs and Provincial Council members representing Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) for a special meeting tomorrow.

The meeting is scheduled to be held Monday, June 30, at a hotel in Beruwala. President Rajapaksa will preside the meeting.

SLFP sources said the President and the seniors of the party would advise the people's representatives about the ways the government programs are taken to the people before the national elections scheduled this year and next year.

The representatives will be made aware of the new development projects the government has planned to start.

The meeting will also focus on the elections for the Uva Provincial Council which is expected to be dissolved on July 03.
