June 28, Colombo: Sri Lanka's Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa Friday (June 27) opened the 'Sancharaka Udawa', a two- day exhibition and trade fair aimed at promoting tourism.

The Exhibition is held in June 27-28 at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre.

'Sancharaka Udawa' exhibition was organized by the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators and Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Association of Professional Conference, Exhibition and Event Organizers for the fourth consecutive year.

The exhibition aims to provide opportunities for those less exposed to mainstream tourism, creating a platform for small and medium service providers to network and build vital links with the tour operators and enter the wider spectrum of the tourism industry.
