June 27, Victoria: Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa and First Lady Shiranthi Wickremasinghe Rajapaksa arrived in Seychelles this afternoon.

President of Seychelles James Michel warmly welcomed President Rajapaksa and the Sri Lankan First Lady at the Seychelles International Airport. The Sri Lankan delegation arrived in Seychelles from The Maldives this afternoon.

The President is in Seychelles to open the new Sri Lankan High Commission in Victoria.

Minister of External Affairs Prof. G.L. Peiris and Sri Lanka's High Commissioner in Seychelles Mr. Rajatha Piyatissa were also present.
