June 25, Colombo: Professor Sudharshan Seneviratne has been appointed as the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in India.

He received his Appointment Letter from Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa today (25) at Temple Trees.

He was the Head of the Department of Archaeology at the University of Peradeniya for nearly ten years.

An Old Boy of Ananda College, Colombo Professor Seneviratne received his complete university education in India, his adopted home for ten years.
