* Government Analyst conducts thorough investigations into Muslim-owned apparel store fire in Sri Lanka

June 23, Colombo: The officials of Sri Lanka Government Analyst's Department conducted investigations today in an around the No Limit apparel store in Panadura that was completely destroyed by an early morning fire on Saturday.

The Government Analyst Department investigators could not conduct full investigations yesterday due to the intense heat at the site and Deputy Government Analyst Ariyananda Weli-Anga inspected the burnt premises today and collected many samples to ascertain the cause of the fire.

Police media spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said that the samples would be tested by the Government Analyst Department to determine the cause for the fire and the Department will issue the report within few days.

Authorities have not ruled out an electrical malfunction as the cause although it is mainly believed to be an arson attack.

No Limit fashion store network belongs to a Muslim businessmen and the fire broke out after the communal violence ravaged the Muslims-dominated Dharga Town in the South.
