June 19, Colombo: A top UN official, Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs Oscar Fernandez-Taranco will arrive in Sri Lanka today (19) on a four-day official visit, the Government Information Department said.

Oscar Fernandez-Taranco will meet with key interlocutors including senior officials of the Government of Sri Lanka, representatives of political parties and civil society groups.

In his meetings with the various actors in Sri Lanka, he will discuss Sri Lanka's post-war achievements, remaining challenges and areas for constructive collaboration in support of a lasting political solution for long-term socio-economic development.
