June 17, Kankasanthurei: Indian Coast Guard handed over 39Sri Lankan fishermen released from the Indian custody to Sri Lanka Navy yesterday.

Indian Coast Guard Ship "Rajtharang" handed over the 39 Sri Lankan fishermen to Sri Lanka naval authorities at the Indo-Sri Lanka International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) in the seas north of Kankasanthurei.

Naval Ship L 820 and Sri Lanka Coast Guard Ship CG 46 brought the fishermen to Kankasanthurei Harbor.

The released fishermen are residents of Jaffna, Chilaw, Galle, Negombo and Matara.
