July 04, Kilinochchi: A minor Tamil political party in Sri Lanka,Tamil National People's Front staged a protest today at Kilinochchi town in the Northern Province demanding Sri Lanka Army to withdraw from their lands.

The protest was held outside the Kilinochchi district secretariat.

The protestors said that their daily life has been disrupted due to the takeover of their lands by Army for military purposes.

They demanded the Army to withdraw to the barracks returning their lands to them.

The protest disrupted the daily routines of the District Secretariat.

Tamil National People's Front is a breakaway faction of the Tamil National Alliance, the major Tamil party of Sri Lanka which rules the Northern Provincial Council.
