* Sri Lanka, Palestine sign bilateral cooperation agreements

Jan 06, Ramallah: Sri Lanka and Palestine Monday signed two bilateral cooperation agreements during the Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa's two-day official visit to that country.

Sri Lankan President met the President Mahmoud Abbas and held discussions on enhancing bilateral relations.

The two leaders briefed each other on the current situations in their respective countries and agreed to enhance the relations between the two nations.

The foreign ministers of the two countries signed two agreements, one of which was to form a joint commission. A memorandum of understanding to establish a vocational training center for Palestinian youth in Ramallah was also signed.
