* Sri Lanka to establish a training center for Palestinian youth in Ramallah

Jan 04, Colombo: The Sri Lankan government plans to establish a training center for the Palestinian youth in the State of Palestine.

The center will be established in the Ramallah City in West Bank. The Palestinian Youth will be provided training in the areas such as tourism and hospitality, middle level healthcare (nursing) and similar vocations.

Sri Lanka will administer the center for an initial period of five years from January 2014.

The Cabinet has approved the proposal put forward by the Minister of External Affairs Prof. G.L. Peiris to establish the training center.
