* Chinese trade delegation to visit Sri Lanka

Feb 26, Colombo: A 35-member Chinese trade delegation from Zhongshan of Guangdong Province will arrive in Sri Lanka early next month to promote their products in the area of light industries, construction equipment and food stuff.

During the visit the Chinese delegation will meet officials of Sri Lanka's investment agency Board of Investments (BoI) and the delegates from the Sri Lanka-China Friendship Association and Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC).

The delegation will also look forward to invest in manufacturing of light industrial items in Sri Lanka to export to the SAARC region.

The delegation's visit is expected to create opportunities for Sri Lankan entrepreneurs in investment cooperation, tourism, technology transfer, joint ventures and other partnerships.

A B2B match making program will be held at 10:00-13:00 on March 4 at Bougainvillea Ballroom of Hotel Galadari.

The visit of the delegation is being arranged, as per the MoU with the municipal People's Government of Zhongshan, by the Sri Lanka-China Friendship Association, in partnership with the Zhongshan Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, Zhongshan Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau, Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Guangzhou, China and Ceylon Chambers of Commerce.
