* Indian Coast Guard hands over 5 Sri Lankan fishermen

Feb 23, Colombo: Indian Coast Guard today has handed over five Sri Lankan fishermen release by the Indian authorities.

The five Sri Lankan fishermen were arrested after they drifted into sea off Andhra Pradesh coast.

Indian Coast Guard ship ICGS Gangadevi took the Sri Lankan fishermen along with their boat from Krishmapatnam in Andhra Pradesh on Feb 21.

They were handed them over to Sri Lankan Navy officials today near the Indo-Lankan Maritime Boundary Line some 16 nautical miles Southeast of Point Calimere in Nagapattinam District of Tamil Nadu, ICG release said.
