Feb 10, Colombo: A former MP of Sri Lanka Marxist party Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), Premasiri Manage has joined the ruling party.

Manage has been offered a position of district organizer of Matara and also has been appointed as a coordinating secretary of the President, Mahinda Rajapaksa.

He represented the Matara district in parliament from 2004 to 2010. He was a long time member of the JVP and also represented the local governments and the Provincial Councils before he was elected to the parliament.
