Feb 06, Oak Brook, Ill.: Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a wide range of industries around the world, announced the opening of a new textiles and apparel testing laboratory in Battaramulla, Sri Lanka.

The new lab will serve retailers, brands and manufacturers of adult apparel, children's apparel, fashion accessories and household textiles.

"Because Intertek has long-standing relationships with many of the leading global brands and retailers who source and manufacture apparel in Sri Lanka, the location is ideal for expansion of our textile and apparel testing capabilities," the company said in a release.
