* Sri Lanka business chamber conducts workshop on media Strategies for corporate sector

Apr 24, Colombo: Sri Lanka's business chamber, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce together with the Sri Lanka Press Institute will conduct a three day course on "Media Strategies for the Corporate Sector," next month.

The course will be held at the Sri Lanka Press Institute from the 7th to 9th of May, 2014 between 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The course aims to enhance the capacity of the local corporate sector professionals, engaged in handling public relations work for their respective companies, to effectively deal with the media to promote the firm and its products or services.

The course will cover areas such as, how to write a media release, handling media diplomacy, preparing press lines for a media conference, how to handle misreporting in the media about the firm, an understanding of the multiple of job roles existing in the news paper, such as the Editor, Associate Editor and Deputy Editor and also how to face an TV interview etc.

Sri Lanka Press Institute will provide a certificate to all the participants.
