Apr 16, Putrajaya: Sri Lanka's Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa made a courtesy call on the Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak at his office in Perdana Putra Building in Kuala Lumpur Tuesday.

Sri Lankan Defense Secretary and Malaysian Prime Minster had a discussion that lasted about half-an-hour, the Prime Minister's office said.

The PM's office said that the discussion between Rajapaksa and PM was held on the sideline of the Asian Security Service Conference currently being held in Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysian government works closely with Sri Lanka in dismantling the LTTE terrorist finance network in the two countries. Sri Lanka recently arrested an LTTE operative on his arrival at the airport after he was deported from Malaysia.
