Apr 13, Colombo: The bodies of the three LTTE operatives killed early Friday during a confrontation with the Sri Lankan security forces have been buried.

The bodies were buried in Anuradhapura Sunday on a court order, police spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said.

The relatives of the three LTTE operatives have identified their bodies and the court has ordered to bury the bodies following a magisterial inquiry.

Sundaralingam Kajeepan alias Thevihan, who was involved in aerial attacks on Anuradhapura Air Base and Kollonnawa Petroleum Storage in year 2007, Selvanayagam Kajeepan alias Gobi, and Navarathnam Navaneethan alias Appan were shot dead by the security forces during the Thursday night's search operation in the general area of Nedunkerni in Vavuniya.

The three local LTTE leaders have been attempting to revive the defeated LTTE organization.
