* Sri Lanka President to tour Bahrain this month

Apr 07, Colombo: Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa will engage in a tour in the state of Bahrain by the end of this month.

President Rajapaksa will reportedly be touring the Gulf state from the 28th to the 30th of this month.

A Bahrain news agency reported that the Bahrain Prime Minister's Court's President, Shaikh Hussam bin Isa Al Khalifa, received Sri Lanka's Ambassador to Bahrain, Anwar Rajakaruna, and discussed the President's scheduled visit.

During the meeting with the Sri Lankan Ambassador, the Bahraini official has expressed optimism that the President's visit will further strengthen Bahraini-Sri Lankan relations and will open new cooperation horizons for the benefit of both countries and their people and stressed bolstering joint cooperation in all fields.

Sri Lankan Ambassador has expressed Sri Lanka's keenness to promote trade and investment cooperation, in line with both countries' desire to consolidate bilateral relations in all fields.
