* Sri Lanka’s George Steuart buys 25 million shares of a Citrus Leisure

Apr 03, Colombo: Sri Lanka based George Steuart and Company Limited has purchased 25,655, 500 ordinary shares of Citrus Leisure PLC,a publicly listed company in Sri Lanka's hospitality industry.

The number of shares purchased on April 2nd at a share price of Rs. 15.5, amount to more than 10 percent of the hotel firm.

However, the total shares held by the George Steuart is less than 30 percent of the leisure firm and therefore, the transaction does not trigger a takeover, the Citrus Leisure said in a a stock market disclosure.

The seller of the shares was Pan Asia Banking Corporation PLC and Divasa Equity (Pvt) Limited.
