Apr 03, Dhaka: Sri Lanka won the semi-final against West Indies by 26 runs (D/L Method) in the hail-stormed match in Dhaka today and advanced to the final of the 2014 ICC WorldTwenty20.

After winning the toss and decided to bat, Sri Lanka steered by the acting captain Lasith Malinga set a target of 161 for the West Indies to chase. Sri Lanka's middle order came to the rescue after Mahela Jayawardena was run out for zero and Sangakkara was caught for just one.

Angelo Mathews added 40 and Lahiru Thirimanne added 44 with Dilshan Tillekeratna's 39 to bring the score to 160 for loss of 6 wickets.

In reply West Indies scored 80 for 4 before the hail storm stopped the match. Malinga took two wickets and Seekuge Prasanna and Nuwan Kulasekara each took one.

Sri Lanka will face the winner of tomorrow's second semi-final between South Africa and India.
