* Sri Lanka's ruling alliance grants bonus seats of the two Provincial Councils

Apr 01, Colombo: General Secretary of Sri Lanka's ruling party United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Susil Prema Jayantha announced the names of the candidates of the Western and Southern Provincial Councils who will be granted the bonus seats.

UPFA which won both Provincial Councils have gained four bonus seats, two each per council.

The two bonus seats of the Western Provincial Council will be given to Son of Senior Minister A.H. M. Fowzie, Nawzer Fowzie, who contested from Colombo district and Lalantha Gunasekara who contested for Gampaha district.

The bonus seats of the Southern Provincial Council will be granted to Dulshan Kariyawasam who contested for Galle district and Ananda Pathiranage who contested for Hambantota district.
