* Sri Lanka Navy assists repatriation of 21Indian fishermen

Apr 01, Mannar: Sri Lanka Navy Sunday escorted 21 Tamil Nadu fishermen, who were released from Sri Lankan custody recently, and handed them over to the Indian Coast Guard with their 10 fishing trawlers.

Sri Lanka Navy Inshore Patrol Crafts had escorted the fishermen and handed over to the Indian Coast Guard Ship "Abheek" at the International Maritime Boundary Line off Mannar on 31st March.

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa ordered the release of all 98 Indian fishermen in Sri Lankan custody as a goodwill gesture following India's abstention of vote for the UN resolution against Sri Lanka.
