Sept 20, Colombo: Sri Lanka Civil Aviation Authority recently warned the public to be aware of bogus ticketing agencies since there are a large number of ticketing agencies operating island wide.
The ticketing agencies need to be registered with the Civil Aviation Authority. At present, there are 650 airline ticketing agencies. However, the Authority has identified 103 unregistered agencies selling airline tickets.
The Authority asked the public to refrain from buying air tickets from these agencies.
The Civil Aviation Authority has started a programme to grant solutions to the problems the air passengers having and requests the public to forward their complaints in writing to the Civil Aviation Authority. The address of the Authority is No: 04, Hunupitiya Cross Road, Colombo 02.
The air passengers can also lodge their complaints to the Managing Officer in Charge of the Bandaranaike International Airport.
